Transformational Geometry Quiz Thursday, April 21

Hello,
We will be having a quiz this Thursday. Students will need to be able to both perform and recognize transformations including, rotations, reflections, and translations. In addition to this, they should be able to perform and recognize successive and combined transformations (ie., find the image after a rotation, and two different reflections). We will be doing review in class today and tomorrow.

This week

Hello all,
This week we will be continuing our measurement unit by looking at the Volume and Capacity of rectangular and triangular prisms (ie. V = length x width x height or V= area of base x h).

We have been working on, and will be finishing this week, a synthesizing activity using the book 'The Rabbits' by Shaun Tan. Using different texts and videos, students have been putting the information together to come up with opinions and ideas surrounding the meaning of the book.

Tomorrow will be our first ski date of the year. Reminder that we will be meeting in the school parking lot at 7:05. The weather is looking promising but please be sure to dress appropriately.

Thanks!
